Some mornings test you before the day even begins. Today was one of those.
I showed up at the gym, ready for my workout. Somewhere between the workout, I strained my neck. A minor thing, but enough to be annoying. As I was wrapping up, my daughter walked in—she had missed her bus and was running late. That meant I had to cut my session short to drop her to school.
In the rush, I tossed my gym bag into the car, not realizing my water bottle had popped open. Within seconds, water was everywhere, seeping into the boot. So there I was — neck sore, gym unfinished, rushing to get my daughter to school, and now cleaning up a mess I didn’t ask for.
For a moment, irritation bubbled up. The day hadn’t even properly started, and it was already throwing curveballs.
But then, I caught myself.
So what if there were a few hiccups? I still got a solid workout in.
My daughter made it to school on time, ready for her exams without added stress.
The car? Well, it needed a little cleaning anyway.
All was well.
Over time, I’ve learned that life will always throw disruptions. But it’s not about avoiding them — it’s about how quickly you find your way back.
I’m getting a little better at finding my equilibrium every day.
