How it all happened

It was six in the morning. I still had 30 mins before I had to get ready for school, so I drifted off to sleep again. 

Suddenly, a strange figure with an orange bird appeared in front of me. The bird spoke, “Perfect, we found her! We’ll surely win the contest now! Grab her!”

The next moment I found myself in a park full of people, amongst whom were a King and a Queen. The Queen exclaimed with tears in her eyes, “Oh Darling, we thought we’d lost you forever!” I was speechless, who were all these people?

The King picked me in an embrace, while another girl ran up to me, “Dear Sister, I missed you! But what are you wearing?” she said with a smirk.

Sister? Was I a Princess? 

The Queen, my mother, planned a ball to celebrate my return.

As I was getting ready for the ball, I heard a familiar voice in the distance screaming, “Wake up! Wake up! It’s seven!”. I jumped out of bed only to realise, it was just a dream and I was late for school, again!
