Yesterday was a day of pure serendipity.
I stumbled upon a profound quote reflecting that while technology provides us with endless information, it also takes away our ability to explore and experience the world. We perceive the world through screens yet often miss out on immersing ourselves in real moments. The challenge lies in striking a balance—embracing technology to stay informed while consciously making efforts to reconnect with the real world enhancing our real-world experiences
As I was reflecting on how to internalize this in my life, a profound lesson came from a 10-year-old!
This little boy, with a curious mind, was seeking his mom's perspective on a news article he had stumbled upon about pyramid-like structures found in Antarctica. He inundated his mom with a barrage of questions - Were these similar to the ones in Egypt? Did the Pharaohs travel to Antarctica? Was the news even real? And if not, how could he distinguish fact from fiction? This conversation went on for a little and I was amazed at how this little boy was using technology to be better informed. But what truly left me in awe was when he excitedly pulled out photos of two cakes he had recently baked and asked for my opinion on which one looked better!!
This young boy effortlessly embodied a beautiful fusion of technology and hands-on experience. His curiosity showed how both digital knowledge and real-world learning can coexist harmoniously—a refreshing reminder of the value of balance in our lives.
Witnessing this moment left me deeply inspired, and I hope to integrate this lesson into my own life!
